Labor: Controlling and Costing

What exactly is labor? Labor is the name given to the workers within the company's production where they do the work and are seen to have acted within the production, there are two types of labor, and this is direct labor and indirect labor. Direct labor is the employees that can be seen in the production like lineman, cutter man and other employee who seen work inside production, Indirect Labor is the employees that cannot be seen in the production, these employees are like supervisors who organize and monitoring work processes, janitors who clean up messes, mop the floor, and take out the trash, and other employees that cannot be seen works in production.

In a company, they will not lose their workers' wages, but what exactly are the wages they pay? Included in the salary of each employee is the basic salary, overtime pay including overtime because it is apart from the employee's basic salary because the worker's time allotted for work has exceeded that is why it has an additional salary, next is the bonuses apart from also the bonus of an employee in his basic pay because when an employee exceeds his quota in his work, he should have an extra payment from the company, when it's a holiday and you're admitted to the company at the same time it's your rest day there is also an additional fee as well as the night school also has an additional fee, and another included in the labor cost or salaries of an employee is the benefits such as SSS, PHIC, HDMF because the benefits of an employee are already deducted from salary to allocated to the benefit of an employee.

  1. Hey there! I totally get what you're saying, and I think your explanation is pretty clear overall. Just a friendly suggestion: could you maybe clarify the definition a bit more? Like, maybe adding a little more detail, such as "Direct labor involves workers directly in production, like assembly line workers, while indirect labor includes roles such as supervisors and janitors." It would just make everything even clearer! Keep up the great work! <33
